Our Chair-Based Exercise classes are appropriate for any level. We offer ChairFit with France as well as Chair Workouts with Nate.

ChairFit is the perfect class for those who have trouble standing for long periods or are unsafe to stand unsupported. These classes focus on strength, balance, flexibility and cognition while using a chair for balance and stability to keep things safe. This class is appropriate for any level.

Chair Workouts with Nate are made with a little slower pace for those that may benefit from focusing more on deliberate/controlled movement.

Target Audience: Those with difficulty standing and those with balance issues making standing exercise difficult or unsafe.

Avg Time: 20-25 min

Equipment Needed: Chair.

  • Introduction to ChairFit Class

    Episode 1

    This video will explain what to expect from our Chairfit Exercise classes.

  • ChairFit Class with France: Session 1, Season 2

    Episode 2

    Join us for our first Chair-Based, whole body workout of the new season.

    Exercises include: Seated ROM, standing sidestepping, marching and weight shifting.

    Equipment needed: sturdy chair

  • ChairFit Class with France: Session 2, Season 2

    Episode 3

    This session is a progression of session 1, building on the memory games from the first session and testing your hand dexterity and whole body coordination.

    Exercises include: Seated range of motion, hand/finger exercises, seated sidebending and standing lateral stepping.

  • ChairFit Class with France: Session 3, Season 2

    Episode 4

    This session is a progression of session 2 building on the memory word game. We will be challenging your hand-eye coordination, working your shoulders, and balance.

    Exercises include: seated range of motion, twisting of the spine, single-leg balance, and sequencing with counting in French.

    Exercises include: seated range of motion, 'snap and flow', integrating two cognitive challenges and voice work, balance, agility, and word list.

    Join us for our live ChairFit workout this Wednesday at 10 AM with France Marien, Personal Trainer. This workout will improve your flexibility, strength and posture. We will use a chair for balance and safety for this exercise class. We hope you enjoy!
